    I use wire like that in my living room system. I just kept the outer jacket on and just stripped the ends. Honestly you could always combine two of the wires for a bigger positive, or just not use the third one.

    I use wire like that for lower power systems. It looks like 18awg or close to that. For longer runs or for higher power apps I use a larger gauge. There is a chart somewhere that shows what you should be running based on the speaker load and length of the run

    Put it in a braided sleeve with some heat shrink cable pants, and your friends will think you've lost your marbles and bought expensive/boutique cables, go the extra mile with some gold plated spades and send them running for their safe space.

    I think the guy who made those up is pretty smart. I do it the old fashioned way with 3 pieces of heat shrink
